Floorplanner is founded in 2007 with a mission to be the easiest, quickest, and best looking way to create and share interactive floor plans online. We are a small and highly innovative company based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands with a no nonsense attitude.
Due to the growth of our business we’re looking for new people to join our development team. At this moment we’re only looking for developers than can be present at our office in Rotterdam (most of the time).
Flash/Flex developer
If you want to push the boundaries of Flash, Flex and Papervision 3D you’re at the right place. We use Flash only when we need to, but when we’re using it, we ‘re taking it into overdrive. Take a look at our 2D and 3D apps on our demo page.
The 3D application is written in ActionScript 3 with the use of Papervision 3D. Tim Knip is one of the core members of the Papervision team and is the leading developer of the 3D engine of Floorplanner. You will be able to work along side with him on the inner workings of the 3D engine.
At this moment the 2D application is written in ActionScript 2. One of the biggest challenges for the coming period is to port the 2D app to AS3 & Flex. This port will be an important part of your job, but you will also be able to work on the interaction model that makes the 2D app act like a small CAD application. Other important parts are the communication with our Ruby on Rails back end and the JavaScript front end. And yes, we have a long list of features, so there’s a lot of interesting work to be done!
If this sounds like the right job for you, please send your CV and/or any questions you might have to gertjan@floorplanner.com.
